HERBARIUM GUACO SYRUP - Mikania glomerata 0.5 ml/5 ml. INDICATIONS: It has bronchodilating and expectorant action, which makes the product indicated for the treatment of persistent coughs and sputum coughs. CONTRAINDICATIONS: Pregnancy, lactation, diabetics and children under 2 years old. WARNINGS: Patients with liver problems may experience toxicity with prolonged use. Greater criteria for guaco administration in patients with undiagnosed chronic respiratory conditions are recommended, and the hypothesis of tuberculosis and cancer should be ruled out. Mikania glomerata | It is a plant species belonging to the Asteraceae Family and native of the Brazilian flora. It has wide distribution in several states of the country, mainly in the south and southeast, popularly known as guaco.¹

Guaco leaves are widely used in Brazilian medicine for the treatment of respiratory tract diseases due to their bronchodilating, expectorant and cough suppressing effect (DALLA NORA et al., 2010; SILVA et al., 2012) ², ³.
